Caring for your pieces ensures they age beautifully and last for years to come. Most of our products are made from natural or handcrafted materials, which means gentle care will preserve their texture, colour, and structure over time.

General Care (All Products)

  • Keep indoors or in covered areas unless specified

  • Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight

  • Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners

  • Clean with a soft dry cloth or lightly damp cloth

  • Handle with care to preserve structure and finish

Contemporary Lighting (Metal, Glass, Modern Finishes)

Care:

  • Dust regularly with a soft microfiber cloth

  • Clean glass parts with a streak-free cleaner

  • Ensure power is turned off before cleaning

Avoid:

  • Spraying liquids directly onto fixtures

  • Using rough materials that may scratch surfaces

Rattan & Handwoven Lighting (Indoor)

Care:

  • Dust gently using a soft cloth or brush

  • Use a low-power air blower for deeper cleaning

  • Keep in a dry, well-ventilated indoor space

Avoid:

  • Water exposure or high humidity

  • Applying pressure that may deform the weave

Rattan Lighting (Outdoor - Covered Areas)

Rattan lighting can be used in outdoor spaces when fully protected from the elements, making it ideal for patios, alfresco dining areas, and covered balconies.

Suitable for:

  • Covered patios and verandahs

  • Outdoor dining areas with a roof

  • Balconies with full overhead protection

Care:

  • Keep completely sheltered from rain and direct water exposure

  • Wipe regularly with a dry cloth to prevent dust buildup

  • Ensure good airflow to avoid moisture retention

Avoid:

  • Direct exposure to rain, storms, or heavy humidity

  • Installation in open outdoor areas without overhead cover

  • Contact with water or irrigation systems

  • Rattan is a natural material and will gradually age over time in outdoor environments. Slight colour changes and texture softening are normal and part of its organic character.

  • For longer lifespan outdoors, position lights further inside covered areas (not near edges where rain or moisture can reach).

Optional Protection (Outdoor Use)

A light fabric or natural fibre protector spray can be applied to help reduce moisture absorption and dust buildup.

How to use:

  • Apply a light, even coat before installation

  • Allow to fully dry before use

  • Reapply periodically if used in outdoor areas

  • Allow to air dry completely
